April 30th – My Favourite Disney Classic Film Of All Time!

Hi all!

Welcome to Day 30 of the 30 Day Disney Blogging Challenge! Thank you so much to everybody that supported me and left kind comments. I had close to 1,500 views, which has been so encouraging. I’m truly grateful to you all.

I thought the best way to end this challenge was to reflect on my favourite Disney Classic film of all time. This movie came out the year I was born (1989) and is also the first Disney cartoon I remember seeing. That makes it pretty special! I love all of the songs, the world, the story, the princess, the prince, the villain and the sidekicks. It’s a no-brainer for me. My heart will always belong to…

THE LITTLE MERMAID!

These are Tsum Tsum stickers from my collection!

The Little Mermaid was written as a fairy-tale story by Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen, in 1836. It was adapted over a century later by Walt Disney. It tells the tale of Ariel, a restless 16 year old mermaid, yearning to be a part of the human world.

We all know the plot so I’m not going to summarise it here. Instead, I would like to share my favourites within my favourite!

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER

URSULA

She’s sassy, she’s diabolical, she’s hilarious. If she wasn’t so evil, I would love Ursula as a friend. Can you imagine the shopping trips?

MY FAVOURITE SONG

‘POOR UNFORTUNATE SOULS’

April 14th-What Is My Favourite Disney Villain Song?

Click on the post above to see why!

MY FAVOURITE PART

WHEN VANESSA WALKS ALONG THE BEACH

Even though she is evil, it’s a magical moment. She’s like a Maiden in the Mist.

WHEN ARIEL SINGS ‘PART OF YOUR WORLD’

I couldn’t decide between these two, so I added them both. I am not ashamed to admit this is my favourite song to sing whilst driving/showering. Can you believe it was nearly cut?

THE SADDEST PART

WHEN KING TRITON DESTROYS ARIEL’S GROTTO

I always cry when I see Ariel sob on the rock. You can even see the remorse on King Triton’s face.

THE MOST ROMANTIC PART

‘KISS THE GIRL’

This song is all about setting the mood. Those willow trees!

MY FAVOURITE QUOTE

“CHILDREN HAVE GOT TO BE FREE TO LIVE THEIR OWN LIVES…”

Such a wise little crab!

THE HAPPIEST PART

WHEN ARIEL BECOMES A HUMAN FOR GOOD

I love her beautiful dress and the way she runs toward Prince Eric.

There you have it. The Little Mermaid is my favourite Disney Classic of all time. It’s perfect.

Which Disney Classic is your favourite? Why? I would love to hear all about it.

Honourable Mention

Beauty and the Beast

Thank you for everything. What an amazing 30 Day Blogging Challenge. There is nothing better than writing about a dear passion.

Stay tuned and I’ll see you tomorrow for my April Favourites of 2017

Peace & Love xoxo

  1. I love The LIttle Mermaid and so glad they did not cut out Part of Your World from the movie. It is my favourite song from the movie and I sang it a lot as a kid – I had it on repeat on cassette tape. I also really like Flounder and Sebastian as sidekicks. They are soooo cute! As you know, my favourite Disney movie of all time is The Lion King! I love the song and dances, the sunrises and sunsets, the night scenes, Timon and Pumbaa and really just everything about it 😀

Congrats on 1 month of blogging Disney my friend! It was so fun to follow along and gave me something to look forward to each day 🙂

    1. Thank you my friend for all of your support during my challenge and just in general 🙂 I hope you have the happiest birthday today. The Lion King is wonderful, I can see why you picked it 🙂 xx
