Hi all!
In September, I posted my TBR for The Breath of the Wild Readathon – Round #2.0: The Main Quest. You can check that out here. Today, I am sharing my wrap-up. This readathon ran from October 1st – October 31st. In that time, I was challenged to read four different books, meeting the prompts under Team Mipha. I’m happy to say I completed them all, taking down the Divine Beast: Vah Rudania. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
MY WRAP-UP
1.) East Reservoir Lake – Read a book with blue on the cover
I read The Girl in White by Lindsay Currie for this prompt. You can check out my dedicated review for it here.
I gave it 3.5/5 stars.
Total Page Count: 304
2.) Blood Moon Card – Rusty Sword: Read a book published more than 10 years ago & 4.) Akkala Ancient Tech Lab – Read a dark academia novel – TEAM MIPHA PERK
For this prompt, I went with Carrie by Stephen King. I had been meaning to read this horror classic for the longest time. I liked it, but was surprised to learn I actually prefer the original film adaptation. Usually, it’s the other way around! The ending was a bit confusing, plus the overall writing style lacked clarity and cohesion.
I gave it 3.5/5 stars.
Total Page Count: 242
3.) East Akkala Stable – Select a book from your TBR at random
I went with The Fear Zone by K.R. Alexander. It looked like the perfect clown horror for spooky season. I thought this was a fun, easy read. It was pretty cheesy and repetitive at times but overall, I thought the author did a good job creating his own spin on IT. I will definitely finish the sequel this month.
I gave it 3.5/5 stars.
Total Page Count: 290
5.) Divine Beast: Vah Rudania – Read a book with fire (or any related word/image/vibe) in the title or cover
I read Clown in a Cornfield 2: Frendo Lives by Adam Cesare for this prompt. This was our Bookclub pick for October. Check out the full review here. Needless to say, I did not enjoy it. It was such a shame, because I adored the first book.
I gave it 2/5 stars.
Total Page Count: 406
TOTAL PAGES READ: 1,242
I completed the Fang & Bone challenges on Twitter but not the bonus reading ones. I simply didn’t have time.
Let me know your wrap-up down below. Thanks for reading!
Peace & Love xoxo
