I Made A Bath Bomb!

Hi all!

Today is a fun DIY post! I decided to make my own bath bomb. I love taking baths, so I wanted to learn the creation process. They are surprisingly simple to put together, but I did pick the easiest recipe from the booklet. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

LEMON GROVE BATH BOMB

In the kit (I bought mine from Kmart), you receive bottles of sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, potassium chloride, yellow dye, lemon fragrance oil, eucalyptus oil and a spherical mould. You have to supply the rest of the ingredients, depending on which bath-bomb you choose to make. I didn’t have any lemon zest handy, but I did use olive oil, a spray bottle filled with water and some salt.

In a bowl, combine the ingredients and pack them into the mould. It must set for 24 hours at room temperature.

In the morning, I took it out of its casing. It was a bit crumbly but for the most part, it had retained its circular shape. I put it in Abigail’s bath that evening and it dissolved perfectly, turning the water a lemon-scented yellow. She loved splashing around in it.

I would definitely make more bath-bombs in the future. They are super fun and versatile. You can form them into different shapes, scents and colours. Let me know any bath-bomb making tips and if you’ve tried one of these kits before.

Thanks for reading! Peace & Love xoxo
