Welcome back to The Ultimate Reading Challenge! I outlined in 2022 how the new series will work here, so check that out before progressing further. For my 17th challenge, I read The Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku. This was recommended to me by my mother. Today I am sharing my thoughts on the book, as well as my prize for completing the prompt. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Plot: ‘The Happiest Man on Earth’ by Eddie Jaku:

This memoir is the true story of one man, who survived inconceivable horrors during the Holocaust, and afterward, made it his mission to change the world for the better.

Review: ‘The Happiest Man on Earth’ by Eddie Jaku:

This story was both unbelievably heartbreaking and moving at the same time. It’s hard to believe how much the physical body and mind can endure when it is being tested to its limit every single day. The fact that Eddie was able to spin straw into gold, was so inspiring. His tragedies really put things into perspective, reminding us that happiness can be found anywhere. I am very thankful this was recommended to me. I can see why it was and now I recommend it to anybody reading this post.

Prize For Completing The Challenge:

My prize for completing the prompt were these colourful bookish coasters. From left to right, they read ‘Just One More Chapter’, ‘Proud Book Nerd’, ‘Keep Calm and Read On’ and ‘Too Many Books, Too Little Time.’ How fun!
