The Breath of the Wild Readathon – Round #3.0: The Main Quest (Vah Medoh) – My Wrap-Up!

Hi all!

In May, I posted my TBR for The Breath of the Wild Readathon (Round 3.0) The Main Quest (Vah Medoh). You can check that out here. It ran from June 1st – June 30th. I was challenged to read four different books, according to the prompts under Team Mipha. I’m happy to say I completed all of them. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

MY WRAP-UP

1.) Death Mountain – Read a book with orange or red on the cover

I read The House of Last Resort by Christopher Golden for this prompt. It was our bookclub pick for June. Check out my review for it here

I gave it 4/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 290

2.) Korok Forest – Read a book with a one-word title

For this prompt, I read graphic novel: Sheets by Brenna Thummler. I really enjoyed it. It was a very touching innocent story, with the most beautiful art design. I was pleasantly surprised.

I gave it 4/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 234

3.) Blood Moon Card – Read a book with a beautiful cover

I read The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by Isabella Duke (see image above). The author is my sister-in-law – I promise I’m not being biased. She is an extremely talented writer. Her stories always grip me from start to finish. I reviewed the first book in her series here. I don’t want to spoil the events from the first novel. Just know, it’s an immersive read with a tension-filled romance.

I gave it 4.5/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 287

4.) South Tabantha Snowfield – Read a book with snow/ice on the cover & 5 Divine Beast: Vah Medoh – ‘AIR’ buzzword – read a book with air (or any related word) in the title – TEAM MIPHA PERK

For these two prompts, I read The Mist by Stephen King. Sadly, I didn’t enjoy it half as much as the screen adaptation. It was confusing and rushed. I also didn’t like that the lead character cheated on his wife so quickly after they were separated.

I gave it 2/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 180

TOTAL PAGES READ: 991

I completed the Fang & Bone challenges on Twitter, but not the bonus reading ones. I simply didn’t have time.

I hope you enjoyed this readathon. Thanks for reading!

Peace & Love xoxo
