Maryborough Open Gardens – Photo Diary

Hi all!

Today I am sharing my Maryborough Open Gardens photo diary! On September 1st, six magnificent country gardens were open to the public across the Fraser Coast. If you wish to learn more about this annual event, click here. To kick off the season of spring, I took my daughter to explore them all. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

1.) 19 Brooke Court, Oakhurst

This very special .5 hectare country garden has evolved over 16 years. Vegetable beds, fruit trees and a large collection of orchids are a must-see.

2.) 230 Bidwill Road, Bidwill

Serene rainforest and cottage gardens with abundant wildlife and multi-layers of plantings. This garden is always evolving.

3.) Alpha 31 Art Gallery, 31 Alpha Plantation Road, South Tinana

Alpha 31 Art Gallery & Sculpture Garden is not the conventional or traditional garden but it does enthral visitors with amazing art placed in over an acre of gardens.

4.) 70 Jones Road East, Mungar

This ever expanding, quirky garden has been driven by a transportation theme throughout. It will delight visitors of all ages.

5.) 5 William Street, Howard

A young garden with established trees, provides shade for a variety of plants as you move through to open beds full of colour.

6.) 5-9 Diamantina Drive, Howard

Set on 2 acres, Gar-Den is a relatively young garden in the village of Howard. Plants for sale and guided tours available.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed it.

Peace & Love xoxo
