Hi all!

In January, I posted my TBR for The Breath of the Wild Readathon (Round 4.0) The Main Quest (Vah Naboris). You can check that out here. It ran from January 15th – February 15th. I was challenged to read four different books, according to the prompts under Team Mipha. I’m happy to say I completed all of themWithout further ado, let’s get into it!

MY WRAP-UP

1.) Rito Village – Read a book with white or grey on the cover

I gave it 4.5/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 328

I was able to avoid all spoilers going into The Housemaid – and I’m so glad. I blew through it in three days. It was such a fun, quick and thrilling read, with a twist I didn’t see coming. I kept trying to figure it out; each theory crazier than the next. Ultimately, I was satisfied with the payoff and direction it went in. I’m looking forward to seeing the film adaptation, as well as picking up the sequels later this year.

2.) Blood Moon Card – Read a book with a beautiful cover

I gave it 4/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 438

Better in Black is a short story collection from Cassandra Clare; serving as a precursor to her upcoming Wicked Powers trilogy. Each tale focuses on a different romantic couple from the Shadowhunter universe. Some are better than others but overall, I really enjoyed revisiting these lovable characters. I needed it as a recap for what’s to come.

3.) Thundra Plateau & Outskirt Stable (Team Mipha perk) – Read a 2025 release

I gave it 2.5/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 358

This was my first encounter with the Dream Harbour series and unfortunately, I think I read the worst one. Firstly, the author stated on her website that they can all be read as stand-alone novels. That is not true. There was so much pre-established lore and relationship building in The Gingerbread Bakery, leaving me very confused. Secondly, it was badly written. The main character slaps her love interest (it’s 2026 – come on!) and the majority of the story was just both of them trying to figure out if they wanted to date again. The plot was sorely lacking. Thirdly, where was the gingerbread? I was promised gingerbread!

4.) Divine Beast: Vah Naboris – Read a book with earth (or any related word) in the title

I gave it 4/5 stars.

Total Page Count: 283

Joyland has been on my TBR for years now. I’m so glad I finally read it. For a very short coming-of-age novel, it sure did pack an emotional punch. It definitely wasn’t what I expected. Where I was let down in some parts, I was pleasantly surprised in others. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives. A haunted amusement park is very much my thing. King always delivers.

TOTAL PAGES READ: 1407

I did not complete any of the bonus challenges. I simply didn’t have time.

I hope you enjoyed this readathon. Thanks for reading!

Peace & Love xoxo
