Hi all!

I’m back with the N.E.W.T.’S Magical Readathon! In April, I participated in the O.W.L.’S Magical Readathon, finishing with an overall grade of EE: Exceeds Expectations. Now it’s time for the sequel! In order to pass my N.E.W.T.’S, I need to complete seven exams in one month. If you want to read about my O.W.L.S’s experience, you can click here (TBR) and here (Wrap-Up). The N.E.W.T.’S are definitely a step-up from the O.W.L.’S. As you may recall, the Wizarding Career I picked was a Magizoologist. If you look at the image below, you’ll see I need an O (Outstanding) in Care of Magical Creatures, an E (Exceeds Expectation) in Charms and an E (Exceeds Expectations) in Herbology, in order to pass my N.E.W.T.’S.

Let’s move onto the prompts and how they work. To get an O in Care of Magical Creatures, I have to complete the A and E prompt, as well as the O prompt. To get an E in Charms, I need to complete the A prompt and the E prompt. To get an E in Herbology, I must complete the A prompt and the E prompt. Does this make sense? You cannot get to the O, without going through the A and E first. If  you tally it up, that is seven books in total I am required to read. In April, I read seven books, so I’m confident I can do it again. If you need more clarification, please watch Book Roast’s Video.

CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES (A EXAM) – READ A BOOK WITH A TITLE THAT STARTS WITH THE LETTER ‘A.’ 

I’m so excited to read another Morgan Matson book. As you can see above, it starts with an A!

Amy Curry’s year sucks. And it’s not getting any better. Her mother has decided to move, meaning Amy must get their car from California to the East Coast. There’s just one problem: since her father’s death, Amy hasn’t been able to get behind the wheel of a car. Enter Roger, the son of a family friend, who turns out to be funny, nice and unexpectedly cute. But Roger’s plans involve a more “scenic” route, than just driving from point A to B. CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES (E EXAM) – READ A BOOK UNDER 300 PAGES 

This book is just over 200 pages and one I’ve been meaning to read for the longest time!

When people look at George, they think they see a boy. But she knows she’s not a boy. She knows she’s a girl. George thinks she’ll have to keep this a secret forever. Then her teacher announces that their class play is going to be Charlotte’s Web. George really, really, REALLY wants to play Charlotte. I have heard nothing but amazing things about this graphic novel!

Nimona is an impulsive young shapeshifter, with a knack for villainy. Lord Ballister Blackheart is a villain with a vendetta. Nimona and Lord Blackheart are about to wreak some serious havoc. HERBOLOGY (A EXAM) – LISTEN TO AN AUDIO BOOK OR READ A BOOK WITH A GREEN COVER 

I have wanted to read this book for ages! It definitely has a lot of green on the cover.

My copy of this book is 388 pages, so it meets the prompt.
