Hi all!

I can finally share a wonderful secret that Francis and I have been keeping since October 2017…

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!

I am currently 21 weeks pregnant! Our little baby girl is due June 27th – only four more months to go! It has been everything I dreamed of and more. 

You may remember me saying that Francis and I saw our month long trip to Europe as our ‘last hurrah’ before starting a family. Well, once we returned, we made it happen! We are also currently in the process of buying our first family, three bedroom home, as our apartment is a bit too small. Many changes and new beginnings up ahead!

If you are wondering will I continue posting regularly once the baby is born, the answer is: I want to and I definitely will try. My fixed-term contract ends April 30th. After that, I will be a stay-at-home mother, raising our child until I’m ready to return to work. It is a decision we both made together and are extremely happy about. It does mean that finances will be a bit tighter (operating on one income only) but I am truly looking forward to returning to a more minimalistic lifestyle.

If there is any content you wish to see regarding vegan pregnancy, minimalism, parenting and more, please let me know. I cannot wait to continue this incredible journey and I just want to say, becoming a mother is my absolute dream come true. Francis and I have always wanted a child, so we are very grateful that we were given the opportunity to start a family together. We are going to love our little human for the rest of our lives. I constantly find myself being in awe that this is really happening. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so many happy tears in my entire existence.
