Hi all!
I just want to announce that as of today, I will be posting only once a week (on Monday) instead of twice. With baby’s due date approaching, I will not be able to post as frequently, however, my schedule will remain as consistent as possible.
Today I am going to share my essential oil collection, their benefits/properties and the diffuser I use. I have always loved aromatherapy and how different oils can serve different purposes. There are oils for certain moods, seasons, ailments and occasions. Here are my favourites:
LE REVE COLLECTION:

1.) GERANIUM OIL: It can be used to treat acne (apply topically), reduce inflammation, alleviate anxiety and balance hormones. It also aids in eliminating body odour, so if you ever run out of deodorant, apply some under the arms for a fresh, flowery scent. I would burn geranium oil to prevent respiratory infections and boost bouts of depression.
2.) YLANG YLANG OIL: This oil smells so good. It is often used as a home air-freshener, or to set a romantic mood. Just add a few drops to your diffuser and breathe in the goodness. Ylang ylang oil enhances mental and heart health. It also increases blood flow and promotes healthy intestinal function. You can use it as a natural household cleaner or even add it to coconut oil, for a DIY hair treatment.
3.) BERGAMOT OIL: I would apply bergamot oil to your temples, in order to reduce headache pain and muscle tension. You can also use it to cleanse oily skin and decrease acne scars. Believe it or not, this oil can protect your teeth from cavities.
4.) ORANGE OIL: This oil is commonly found in household cleaning products, lotions, mouthwash, acne treatments and shampoo, due to its strong, fresh scent and antibacterial properties. It’s also a more natural way to improve immune function. Add a few drops to a handkerchief, to ease anxiety after a long day.
GUMLEAF ESSENTIALS COLLECTION:

5.) MOTHERHOOD OIL: This oil is a blend of mandarin, tangerine, petitgrain, neroli, ylang ylang and sandalwood. I bought it for my pregnancy, but it can also be used during early motherhood. The petitgrain helps improve insomnia, the neroli is for oily skin, the sandalwood has antiseptic properties and the citrus based oils (e.g. mandarin and tangerine) will assist with pregnancy nausea. You can use it as a massage oil or, as I like to do, add a few drops to your bath for relaxation.
6.) CINNAMON OIL: To be honest, I bought this oil purely for my love of cinnamon, but it actually has a lot of benefits. Did you know it can control blood sugar and insulin release? It also fight parasites, treat sore throats, help prevent headaches and reduces ulcers. It can even be used as a natural aphrodisiac. Apply some to your skin and clothes for a warm, spicy scent. It smells so amazing!
MISC COLLECTION:

PEPPERMINT OIL: This is my absolute favourite essential oil. I burn this one more than the others. Not only does it make our place smell heavenly, it soothes digestive issues and improves mental focus. I used to get monthly relaxation massages from a lady who used the same bottle. She would rub it into my aching muscles and joints for pain relief. I always left our sessions feeling so soft and uplifted.
EUCALYPTUS OIL: Every single household should keep a bottle of eucalyptus oil. I used several drops in a steam treatment last week to combat my awful cold. Just breathing it in eased my congestion, helping me get to sleep. You can use it to fight allergies, respiratory conditions, headaches, infections, earaches and coughs. It is the ultimate medicinal weapon.
ROSE OIL: I adore the scent of rose. I burn it mainly for the smell but it does serve several purposes. You can use it as a massage oil, in order to boost libido and balance sex hormones. It can also be added to a cotton ball and applied to facial blemishes. This is due to its ability to increase skin’s permeability. Finally, it works to improve depression, but please don’t rely on an oil to treat overall mental health.
LAVENDER OIL: This is the most commonly used essential oil in the world today. It is mainly known for its calming and anti-depressive properties. It’s popular to add a couple of drops to a pillow, in order to improve insomnia. I would use lavender to reduce stress, creating a zen environment before studying, working or indulging in a creative passion.
MY ‘LUNA’ MOOD MIST DIFFUSER:

My sister-in-law bought me this stunning oil diffuser. I absolutely love it. Named ‘Luna’, it resembles the moon, changing colour with LED lights, whilst it burns. You can set a timer for 1 or 4 hours, depending on how long you wish it to run. It will turn off once minimum water levels are reached, working via vibration, rather than heat. I love how easy it is to use. If you wish to purchase one, please click here.
Thank you so much for reading. I love my little collection but please let me know down below if there any essential oils I must have. Which one is your favourite and why?
Peace & Love xoxo
