Blogmas – My Christmas Bucket List!

Hi all!

Today I am going to be sharing my Christmas bucket list. I hope by documenting my seasonal goals here, I will be motivated to meet them someday. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

1.) I’m Dreaming Of A White Christmas…

I really want to experience a White Christmas someday – maybe in NYC, Germany, Switzerland or Moscow. In Australia, December is the beginning of summer, so it’s always super hot and dry. The area I live in doesn’t even get snow, unless we drive to the mountains. I’m not a huge fan of the cold, but I would suck it up for a Winter Wonderland

2.) Christmas Decorations Extravaganza!

I have always wanted to go over the top with Christmas lights and decorations. I used to dream of covering my own future home from top to bottom in festive goodness. However, despite living in my own house for two Christmases now, the decorating has been quite minimal. Maybe when Abigail is older, I can go a little crazy. We shall see.

3.) Elf on a Shelf Madness!

Elf on a Shelf has become so popular with parents and children. Abigail is much too young at the moment, but once she’s old enough, I am going to jump right on that bandwagon. If you’re not sure what Elf on a Shelf is, basically you buy a box that comes with an elf and a book (see here) and every night leading up to Christmas, you put the doll in different positions, so when your child wakes up, they can see what he/she’s been up to overnight. Some parents get super creative with it. I know Abi is going to love it in the future.

4.) See the Nutcracker Ballet

One year, I really want to see The Nutcracker. I adore the soundtrack and the story. It’s so magical and whimsical. I just know it would be put me in the biggest festive mood.

5.) Attend the Midnight Service at Church

This one may surprise you, as I’m not religious in the slightest, but I do think there is something beautiful about the Midnight Service on Christmas Eve. I would like to do it just once in my lifetime.

6.) Go Ice Skating at Rockefeller Centre

If you’ve seen Serendipity, you know all about this ice skating rink. It’s beautifully decorated during the Christmas time and looks super romantic. I would love to skate there someday with Francis. It would be a dream come true.

7.) Volunteer at a Shelter

Christmas is a time of giving. I would honestly love to volunteer at a shelter nearby. It is such a kind thing to do. Here is a list of all the ways you can help out this Christmas in Melbourne, Australia.

8.) Own The Body Shop OR LUSH Advent Calendar

If only they weren’t so expensive! I would love to splurge on one of these someday and post an unboxing

Update: In 2024, my husband bought me the one from LUSH. See here

I hope you enjoyed this post. What is on your Christmas bucket list? Thank you for reading.

Peace & Love xoxo
