Hi all!

I’ve been wanting to write this post ever since I fell pregnant! This popular trend sees parents interview their small children, recording their honest (zero edits) answers. It’s a nice memento for them to look back on and have a giggle. My daughter turned 4 in July; finally at the age where she’s not only asking us lots of things, but giving her opinions too. Today I will be sharing an unfiltered interview from the perspective of my preschooler. I made up the questions myself. Her responses are verbatim. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

1.) Where does the sun go when it’s dark time? 

2.) What do you want to be when you’re older? 

“I want to be like Daddy when I’m older. He’s my best friend.” 

3.) What do you like better: dogs or cats? 

“I don’t like dogs or cats because they bite me.”

4.) What is your favourite thing to eat? 

“My favourite thing to eat is pizza!”

5.) What do you do when a baby cries?

“Take care of the baby.” 

6.) Do you like scary movies?

“No, I don’t like scary movies. I like monster movies!”

7.) How do you bake a cake?

“You make cake with a spoon!”

8.) What is your favourite colour? Why?

“Yellow because my favourite colour is yellow.”

9.) What do you like doing at the beach?

“Daddy teach me how to swim.”

10.) What is love? What does it mean?

“Love is you love me.”
