Hi all!

Today I am reviewing a new horror movie titled: Elevator Game. Based on the eerie legend, the story follows a teen who links the disappearance of his sister, to a supernatural game taking place in an elevator. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

WHAT WORKED:

The ‘Elevator Game‘ legend has been around for years. People attempt it in the real world all the time. I think the film did the best it could tackling that very concept. It was spooky and full of tension. I appreciated the modern-day lens, revolving around a group of influencers trying to make it big online. They even covered the topic of sponsorships. The story wasn’t groundbreaking, but it didn’t need to be. It delivered exactly what you would expect. I hope there is a Korean adaptation one day, as that is where the myth originated.

WHAT DIDN’T WORK:

The demon woman looked like something you would see at Universal Horror Nights, which took me out of the fantasy. Furthermore, if you don’t like cheesy acting and line delivery, this movie definitely isn’t for you. Don’t expect deep plotlines and character development. This is just a fun flick to throw on with some pals.

OVERALL STAR RATING:

I gave it 3.5/5 stars. This film was a solid, spooky good time!
